Lake Nkuruba is a pretty special place and words or photos will never describe the true beauty of it. About 5 hours west of Kampala, it is a beautiful, small, crater lake surrounded by tropical rainforest. You can swim in the lake listening to the sounds of birds and watch monkeys play in the trees and if you’re lucky, you can catch a glimse of the resident hippo that has returned after 2 years. If you are in need of complete relaxation it is a must on any trip to Uganda. I spent just over a week there and just didn’t want to leave.
